(2002/10/29) The third Morning Assembly began with a pray and a reading from the School Diary.
Miss Robyn Burridge gave a talk on Friendship. She asked all the Wong's to come out and sit on the stage. She asked them three questions.
- (1) Name your good friend.
- (2) What has made a good friend?
- (3) Why are they your good friends?
Miss Burridge held the Good News in her hands. "We all have a good friend, Jesus Christ."
She asked the boys to listen carefully to the song, What the world needs now is love. The following words flashed on the screen.
- does not judge me
- tells me if I caused trouble to myself or to others
- shows kindness
- loves me
- ...
She asked the students to write something, a poem, a few words or a short passage, on Friendship and have it ready in the next Form 1 Assembly.
The Principal then talked to the boys.
