Summary of the Principal's speech.
- Changes introduced this year
- In F4 placement, F3 students will be ranked according to the sum of 20% of Mid-year average plus 80% Final scores.
- New subject Integrated Humanities (100 marks) replaces EPA, Geography and History (300 marks)
- Music is introduced to F3, 1 lesson per cycle.
- SENCO, Special Educational Needs Coordinator, is appointed to monitor the academic performances of the students.
- The Through Train was introduced two years ago. But promotion to F4 is not automatic. It depends on Conduct and Academic results. Students who fail the Final Examination have to do extra work and pass tests in the Summer before being considered for promotion to F4.
- A number of students are taking private tuition after school and as a result they do not have time for activities in the school. Students should have a good balance between studies and activities.
- The QAI report advises the students to read more. Parents should give good examples and encouragement to their sons.
