| Bro. Thomas informed the gathering that Mr. Yik Kwan would retire at the end of the term and asked Mr. Yik to say a few words.
Mr. Yik said La Salle College has always done well in academics and sports. In recent year, our students began to capture top honours in various interschool cultural events. He wished that the teams could do even better in future.

Bro. Thomas introduced the Guest of Honour. Prof. Wellington Chan is an old boy of the School. He graduated in 1957, Form 5 and 1959 From 7. He was the Head Prefect. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Yale, Master Degree in Cambridge and Doctor Degree in Harvard. He is now Visiting Professor of History and Senior Fulbright Scholar.
Speech by Guest of Honour, Prof. Wellington Chan. He asked the students to stretch themselves and develop into the full person that they would be.
