(2003/09/10) Mass of the Beginning of the School Year

- Bro. Thomas reminded students that it's Teachers Day. Boys should Cherish the teachers and Challenge themselves, and not the other way round.
He asked the students to pray for an old retired teacher, Mr. John Richard Lee, who was very sick and now recovering.
The Principal introduced three Old Boy committee members to the gathering, Mr. Ng Chor Sang Lawrence, Vice Chairman, Dr. Au Kin Heng Constantine, Hon Sec and Mr. Chan Kwong Fat, Committee member. Bro. Thomas pointed out that the new lighting in the School Hall, the School Library and the complete overhaul of the Chemistry Labs would not be possible without the help of Mr. Chan Kwong Fat.
All Form 1 boys were asked to join in the celebration of the first monthly Mass to take part in the Catholic life at La Salle College.
- Fr. Jose Angel, School Chaplain celebrated the Mass.
- In the Homily, Father Jose talked about the biblical story of ten girls attending a wedding reception and five ran out of oil in their lamps. He use the story to bring out the importance of self-discipline.
